Women Empowerment Cell
“A successful women is one who can build a firm foundation with the bricks that others have thrown at her. A real women avoids drama, she knows her time is more precious and she’s not wasting her time on unimportant people or things.”
This torso shall be known as the “The Student Council of Institution”
- Women Protection Cell of our college is established in December 2014 to enhance and empower our girl students and staff members to make them understand and react to the issues pertaining to girl students.
- This cell aims at creating awareness of their rights and duties. The cell provides a platform for intellectual and social awareness and upliftment of women.
- The responsibilities of the Women Protection Cell are to follow the Mandatory Guide lines and directions of the Anna University, Chennai, regarding the security arrangements for Girl Students and Women staff of our Institution.
- Nation that invests in women’s employment, health and education are just more likely to have better outcomes. There is no tool for development more effective than the PROTECTION OF WOMEN.
To promote a culture of respect and equality for female gender.
To sensitize the college community on the need for empowerment of women.
To conduct seminar, workshop to impart knowledge of opportunities and tools available and train the women.
To create a conducive counseling environment for female gender to share their problems.
To provide opportunities and programs for female gender to be financially, mentally and emotionally empowered so as to promote their growth as individuals in their own right.
To make them aware about the guidelines of Supreme Court and to ensure that sexual harassment is treated as an unacceptable social behavior within the institution and the society.
To identify and to inculcate entrepreneurial skills among young girls whereby strengthening them intellectually
To train the girls students with leadership qualities in order to equip them with necessary skills to educate the society.
