Statutory - SPARSH Committee
In order to build and uphold a community where teaching, non – teaching staff and students can work together without the fear of violence, harassment, exploitation and intimidation, our institution has proactively established a committee named SPARSH. Hence any form of gender violence, sexual harassment, and discrimination based on sex / gender is totally prohibited in the campus.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE COMMITTEE:
Provide a safe working environment at the workplace which shall include safety from the persons coming into contact at the workplace.
Deal with cases of discrimination and sexual harassment against women, in a time bound manner, aiming at ensuring support services to the victimized and termination of the harassment.
To ensure that appropriate action is taken against the offender.
To ensure that victims and witnesses are not victimized or discriminated because of their complaint.
Treat sexual harassment as misconduct under the service rules and initiate action for such misconduct.
Frequency of the meeting: Twice in every six months
